Pot Luck Recipe Pastability
We may be a few weeks ahead of holiday season, but there’s something about the cooler months that brings people out for potlucks. From the casual Sunday football viewing party to the annual PTA family night there’s no shortage of get-togethers popping up on the calendar. Having a one or two easy recipes at hand will help you contribute to the festivities without burning yourself out before Thanksgiving.
Homemade Mac n Cheese is always a favorite. Too rich for an everyday meal, it’s just perfect for party fare. Add this to your collection of potluck dishes and clear your calendar for the upcoming months. Once word gets out, you’ll be booked through the New Year!
Smoked Mac n Cheese
1 lb. pasta, cooked
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 oz. Plainville Farms Smoked Turkey or Virginia Ham, diced
salt and black pepper to taste
4 oz. potato chips
Combine warm pasta and cream in a heavy bottomed pot and heat over medium. When cream just starts to bubble, stir in cheese and smoked turkey or ham just until melted and remove from heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then transfer to a casserole dish. Crumble potato chips over the top and serve immediately. Serves 6-8.
