THE BEST WAY TO END THE WEEKEND IS WITH A COZY AND HEALTHY MEAL!

GROUND TURKEY SPAGHETTI SQUASH BOATS WITH MARINARA

INGREDIENTS

2 medium ripe spaghetti squash

1 pound of Plainville Farms ground turkey

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic salt

Salt and Pepper (to taste)

2 cups of marinara sauce

1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut the squash in half lengthwise & scoop out the seeds with a spoon.

Place on a baking sheet, cut side up and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Rost for about an hour – or until the skin gives easily under pressure and the inside is tender.

After the squash has been cooking for about 40 minutes – start preparing your marinara and turkey.

In a skillet, place your ground turkey, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and salt and pepper (to taste.)

Cook until the turkey is cooked through (the temperature should reach at least 165 degrees F.)

Mix in the marinara sauce and set aside.

Remove spaghetti squash from the oven and carefully scrape squash with a fork to loosen the flesh into long strands.

Top each boat with the meat mixture & add the mozzarella cheese on top.

Place back in the oven until the cheese is melted.

Remove from the oven – serve & enjoy!
