INGREDIENTS
2/3 CUP OF SUGAR
1/2 CUP OF BROWN SUGAR
1/3 CUP OF WATER
2/3 CUP OF ORANGE JUICE
12OZ. OF CRANBERRIES (RINSED)
INSTRUCTIONS
IN A LARGE POT – COMBINE THE SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR, WATER, AND ORANGE JUICE. BRING TO A BOIL – STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.
ADD IN THE CRANBERRIES & RETURN TO A BOIL.
REDUCE THE HEAT TO A SIMMER & CONTINUE TO COOK FOR 10-15 MINUTES, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY (BE CAREFUL – THE BERRIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BURST, CAUSING SOME SPLATTER TO BE POSSIBLE.)
THE LONGER YOU COOK THE CRANBERRY SAUCE – THE THICKER THE MIXTURE WILL BE (IT WILL ALSO THICKEN MORE AFTER SETTING.)
TRANSFER THE MIXTURE OCER TO A BOWL – AND ALLOW IT TO COOL FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
COVER & REFRIGERATE FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS.
