CALIFORNIA STYLE AVOCADO TURKEY BURGER

Serves 6 people Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅛ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 whole tomato, 6 slices
  • 6 brioche slider buns
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1 Butter/bibb Lettuce head

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together ground turkey, mayonnaise, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper, just until combined, being careful to not over mix.
  2. Divide mixture into 6 pieces and shape each piece into a patty shape, about 3 inches in diameter. Make an indent in the middle with fingers to help prevent meat from puffing up in the center and place on a plate or small tray. Transfer plate to freezer for 5 minutes to help firm up the patties.
  3. Heat grill over medium high heat and grill sliders for about 3-4 minutes per side, until burgers reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Let rest for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place burger on bottom slider bun and top with sliced avocado, lettuce leaf, sliced tomato, and top of bun.
